Templestowe Orchards Retirement Living, East Doncaster, Melbourne

My mother is a Lodge Resident at Templestowe Orchards Retirement Village, (TORV), and has been there for three years. Those three years have gone in a flash.

We had been looking for sometime for a place for Mum, – a place that she could call home, – and when I first entered the foyer at TORV I knew that this was the place for her. The feeling for me was overwhelming, and a burden was lifted off my shoulders.

The rooms are by far the largest that I have seen in months of looking, they are light and airy, and have lovely garden views to enjoy. The facilities are well suited for her so she can make a cuppa’, or to keep that special treat in the fridge for later. The lovely Christian ambiance has been a delight for my Mother.

In the time that she has been here we have come to know and speak most highly of the dedicated staff who make sure that all the Residents’ needs are met, and who will go the extra mile in order to keep them comfortable and happy. There is no shortage of leisure activities for all to enjoy if they wish, and family members are most welcome to join in, – in fact family involvement is actively encouraged.

We have been delighted that Mum has been able to become part of TORV, and knowing that she is so well cared for gives us great peace of mind.

Come and see! Better still, come and stay! Yes, for a respite week or two! If you or your home-carers need a short holiday, or if you are considering a move to a Retirement Village.

What will you find? – a comfortable environment and atmosphere of “family.” A caring, efficient, “nothing-too-much-trouble” staff – twenty four hour staff coverage.

Spacious, attractive, serviced, en-suite apartments each with small kitchen area, and a secure door opening on to a small garden.
You will awake to bird song and to each new day feeling “at home.”
“The Lodge” is now my home  (and is home). I proudly entertain friends whom I may invite to Dining Room meals or perhaps to stay overnight. I made my own decision to change from independent living to an assisted-living environment, and needed to look no further than Templestowe Orchards Retirement Village, having visited here from time to time.

A spell in hospital owing to an Osteoporosis’ fracture, shortly after taking up residence, was followed by my thankful return to the Lodge Apartment where I received the most loving, efficient care and assistance to aid my now full recovery.

Sure, any change in lifestyle takes some adjustment. This comes about harmoniously for us here at the Lodge. It certainly has for me. I give thanks daily for the blessing of new friends, homely surroundings, care shown by staff and residents for each other, and the over-all special atmosphere of calm, warmth and well-being prevailing here in this attractive, spacious Lodge in its still natural setting in view of the Dandenongs and Plenty Ranges.
Do come!
